The composites division draws its legacy form our parent company, Hindoostan Mills, which is a 150 year old cotton woven and synthetic textiles company which was incorporated in 1873. Given our heritage – Quality, Delivery and Innovation are firmly engrained in our ethos. Our Goal is to develop high quality, cost effective customer centric composite products and solutions. To support our customers we are continually invest in product development and research technology to solve pressing issues facing the composites industry.

Mr. Abhimanyu J. Thackersey is a Arts Graduate specialising in Economics from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor and has been associated with the Company for more than 9 years. He has been designated as Executive Thackersey Group for the past 3 years. He has taken special training in various textile and garment industries in India and abroad with experience in production, marketing, finance and accounts.
President Technology & Innovation
Dr Milind Khandwe, President, Technology and Innovation, Hindoostan Mills. Dr Khandwe has a strong track record of over twenty-five years in industry providing the strategic direction and vision using innovative materials and process development; which spearhead to a profound growth of organization in term of revenue, skilled human resources, niche market and respectable supplier and customer relations. Prior to joining industry he was associated with ISRO, DoE Govt of India. He has done post graduate, Ph.D. and post doctoral studies in the field of Polymers. He is a member of BTRA Governing Council, BTRA Research Council, FICCI Committee on National Textiles Policy. Dr Khandwe has gained technical leadership in the field of high performance materials, Technical textiles, Composites and converting industry. He has played a key role in development of quality systems as per ISO,TS and QS standards in the industry. He is Proficient in designing and execution of high technology projects many of which are first time in India. He has a knack of strategic sourcing, project implementation, technical collaboration, and business development. He has Long experience of formulating organization’s policies as a member of top management team.
Akhil Hebbar joined HCS in 2014 and is currently responsible for HCS commercial & strategic initiatives. He has over 8 years of experience in Marketing, Product development and technical sales of High performance composites across different Geographical locations. His particular areas of interest are WindEnergy, CNG Tanks and the Infrastructure market in India. Akhil holds overall P&L responsibility for the composites division. Prior to joining HCS, Mr. Hebbar has worked for Zoltek Carbon Fibers in India and St. Louis as well as BMW in Munich. Mr. Hebbar holds an Engineering degree from the Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum, Karnataka and a M.B.A in Global Marketing from the Thunderbird School of International Management in Phoenix, Arizona.
Vice President - Engineering
Mr. Sanjay Rade is a M.E. (Structures) with over Twenty two years of experience in the field of mechanics of solids and structures with special focus on fiber-reinforced composite structures. For last more than seventeen years, working as a chief structural engineering consultant for well known projects in the field of composites at international level. He has also been engaged as design consultant in design and development of strengthening/retrofitting system using FRP composites for RCC, masonry and timber structures for more than seven years.
With Over 20 years experience in Technical Textiles, Sanjeev has been with HCS 3 years now and in that period he has helped develop the companies Defence and Industrial composites portfolios. He has background of Textiles and Management from SASMIRA, Mumbai and a depth of experience in Sales & marketing of technical textiles. Sanjeev is Currently responsible for Marketing and sales in institutions, domestic and export markets and is an integral member of the HCS team.
